Rat Control
Rats are small rodents that have incessantly growing front teeth and gnaw constantly on whatever they come in contact with. Though small, they are significantly larger and more fearful than mice. Rats can grow up to 9 inches long and are typically cautious creatures, which helps them to avoid traps.
Rat Diet
A rat’s diet differs depending on the species. Roof rats often feed on fruit, as their typical dwelling is in trees, where it is in abundance. Norway rats, those that typically are found on the ground level or below, like food that have a high protein content. You may see these feeding more on your nuts or nut butters, meat scraps, and pet food. If you suspect you have a rat problem, be sure to keep your garbage covered and check your pantry for holes in food containers, as these products have probably been compromised.
